H-E-B Plus! Stores Offer Customers across Texas Lower than Low Black Friday Deals on Hundreds of Toys and other Holiday Items

San Antonio, TX – Nov. 19, 2009 – H-E-B Plus! stores across Texas will open their doors at 5 a.m. on November 27 to offer customers lower than low Black Friday offers across the store.  

“Our customers can expect to find the best brands and products they want at our lowest prices ever.  It’s our ‘More Merry for Less Money’ promise put into action this Christmas season,” said Bill Anderson, H-E-B Vice President of General Merchandise.

For Black Friday, the 21 H-E-B Plus! stores will feature the hottest electronics at the best prices, including:

• Panasonic 50-inch Plasma 720p HDTV for $499
• Nintendo Wii with Wii Sports for $149
• Apple 8 GB iPod Nano for $99
• Apple 8 GB iPod Touch for $169
• Kodak 10 megapixel digital camera for only $49

Gifts for everyone on customers’ gift list will also be in the ad at super low Black Friday prices.  Items like:

• Mr. Coffee 12 cup coffee maker for $9
• Chi 1-inch flat iron for $79.99
• Fleece sweatshirts and pants for $2.50
• Snuggie, one of the hottest gifts of the season, for $8.97

Toys for girls and boys of all ages will be reduced for the H-E-B Plus! Black Friday event as well.  Featured toys include:

• large assortment of kids and family board games for $5
• Megabloks 100 piece set for $9
• 50 percent discount on hot toys such as Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee on sale for $49 and Little Mommy Gotta Go doll on sale for $20

If toy action figures and dolls are on their list, H-E-B Plus! will feature $5 for Transformers, G.I. Joe, Batman and WWE action figures, as well as $5 for Little Mommy Newborn and select Barbie and Disney Princess dolls.

In addition to the Black Friday event, H-E-B Plus! will offer customers additional deals beginning Saturday, November 28, including a Nintendo DSi system with free 5-in-1 Gamer pack for $129, an Apple 4 GB iPod Shuffle for $49, assorted Warner Blu-ray discs for $6 and Lego Bionicles for $8.

Anderson added, “We want our customers to know we will continue offering amazing deals throughout the Holidays.  We’ve already lowered prices on hundreds of toys and other holiday items. Our thought behind these early season specials is why have our customers wait, when we can do something to help them now.”

For example, beginning this Sunday, November 22, H-E-B Plus! stores will feature Samsung TV’s at Black Friday type prices including a 40-inch 1080p LCD HDTV for $599 and a 50-inch 1080p Plasma HDTV for $899.
